Community Evangelism

Once a month and for other special events and activities we spend time in direct evangelism – either door to door, at the park or mall, on the Maryville College or University of Tennessee Campus.  This can take the form of one on one witnessing, street preaching, or handing out tracts. Please contact the church to learn more about these activities.

Community Ministries

We are committed to reaching our community for Christ and desire to be an integral part of God’s work in the Blount County area.  To accomplish this we seek to have multiple outreach events each year including marriage conferences, Fall Festival outreach, Biblical counseling seminars, and other specially focused ministries.

Additionally, we support or are engaged in a variety of local ministries which proclaim the gospel as they minister to the practical needs of people. Although we may not be in full agreement with everything these ministries do, we believe that they are committed to the gospel of Christ and to the authority of the Word of God.

Chilhowee Baptist Center

The Chilhowee Baptist Association is the local association of Southern Baptist Convention churches.  The association provides coordination for the following community ministries:  The Baptist Center provides resources for breaking the cycle of poverty through food and clothing distribution.  Camp Tipton includes bunk houses, kitchen, and recreational areas for church group functions and retreats.  Chilhowee Area Ministries (CHARM) exists to minister to people who live, work, and play in the resort areas of Blount County.

Trinity Counseling Center

Trinity Counseling Center offers Biblical Counseling in association with Trinity Medical Associates in West Knoxville.  Biblical Counseling helps us to see our problem from God’s perspective.  We believe that God in his Word has provided practical solutions to our deepest human problems.

Pregnancy Resource Center of Blount County

Pregnancy Resource Center of Blount County is a pro-life organization ministering to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those facing difficult decisions regarding pregnancy and communication of God’s plan for sexual purity by teaching life-affirming choices for a healthy and fulfilled life.

Safe Families for Children

Founded in Chicago in 2003, Safe Families for Children (Safe Families) is a volunteer movement that gives hope and support to families in distress.  Located in 70 cities in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and other countries.  Safe Families supports families during crises.  We are motivated by compassion to keep children safe and out of foster care.

At Grace we encourage families who are desirous and capable of being host families for those in crisis to go through the process of becoming official Safe Family host homes.
